Do I need to use VEEIP to pay?
No, VEEIP is not a payment facility. Simply link your payment card(s) to your VEEIP account and continue to pay the same way that you always do.
Does VEEIP work for online and in-store purchases?
Yes, VEEIP allows you to claim rewards on your spend for purchases made online and/or in-store.
How do you know when I have made a purchase with one of the brands that I have added?
VEEIP identifies transactions you make with your payment cards, which is why it is imperative that you link your payment card(s) to redeem rewards.
How quickly will my purchase or refund appear on VEEIP?
VEEIP typically identifies purchases within a few seconds of the transaction being completed, although it is possible that it can take up to 3 working days in certain circumstances (that are outside of our control) and occasionally even longer.
If a transaction has not been recorded by the VEEIP Platform 3 working days after your transaction with a VEEIP linked payment card(s), please contact VEEIP HQ.
What happens if I forget to add a brand?
Don't worry if you forget to add brands, the VEEIP platform does this for you automatically (and will notify you) when you first make a purchase from a brand that you have not yet added.
I made a purchase but cannot see it on VEEIP. what should I do?
Please take the following steps if you have made a purchase which has not appeared on your profile:
i. Wait a minimum of 3 working days after the transaction to make sure that the VEEIP Platform has sufficient time to pick up your transaction.
ii. Confirm that the store where you shopped supports VEEIP.
iii. Confirm that the card that was used for the purchase had been linked before the purchase was made.
If you still cannot see the transaction, please contact VEEIP HQ.
What is the difference between an authorised and settled transaction?
The payments industry works on the basis of the 'authorisation' and 'settlement' of transactions. Consequently, so does VEEIP.
The 'authorisation' of transactions takes place in real time at the point of purchase and makes it possible for brands to ascertain whether you have sufficient funds available for them to release goods or services.
The 'settlement' of transactions takes place thereafter (typically 1 to 3 days) and relates to the actual movement of funds from your account to the account of the brand. This is why transactions may not appear in your account for a number of days after your actual purchase.
VEEIP has been designed to deliver a near real time experience but relies on data provided by various parties. Visa, Mastercard and American Express (Amex) transactions are available from the point of authorisation and will trigger a receipt at this stage.
VEEIP makes it possible for you to be rewarded automatically for your purchases and whilst authorisation may trigger a receipt, the triggering of rewards is always based upon settled transactions.
